Student Check-In & Check-Out

No more paper sign-in sheet. Students tap their name on an iPad to check in and out, and a live “Who’s here” board shows staff who’s in and since when, with every visit time-stamped.

One-Click Report B Import

Already use Kumon Report B? Upload your Report B file instead of entering every student by hand. Unlike other products, Katriviya imports it in one click.

Attendance Records & Reporting

Need to check who attended last Tuesday? Look up the date, review check-in and check-out times, and export the records you need. Every correction keeps the old time, who changed it and why.

Internet Acting Up?

A dropped connection shouldn’t hold up the check-in line. The kiosk saves check-ins with their real time while offline and sends them when the connection returns.

  • Students check in and out on the Check-in kiosk; staff use the Who’s here board.
  • Every event is stored in the Katriviya™ database — no paper or spreadsheet step.

Unique Student Identification

  • Each student has a unique record ID, and the Kumon Student ID is kept with them.
  • Kiosk tiles use the full last name whenever two students would otherwise look the same.

Actual Arrival and Departure

  • The time is taken from the server clock at the moment of the tap; staff can't type a time.
  • Only Instructors and Chief Assistants can correct a wrong time on History, and every correction keeps the old time, who changed it, when and why.

  • Every event records who was signed in when it happened (staff login on the kiosk or the front desk).

Backup or Data Preservation Approach

  • Every event is also written to a separate backup table in the same transaction; that table is never archived or cleaned up.
  • Check-in → History can be exported to CSV or printed, giving staff a copy outside Katriviya™.

Appropriate Handling of Student Information / PII

  • The kiosk shows first name and last initial (full last name only when another person shares that first name), and needs a staff sign-in to open.
  • Role-based access: Teachers, Assistants and Graders see check-in pages and the Students list read-only; each center’s data is kept in its own schema.

Reviewable and Retained Records

  • Records are never deleted: events older than the retention period move to an archive table, and the backup table keeps everything.
  • Check-in → History shows archived and recent records together, for any period (e.g. the last 2 years).

“Tools for your process” means software can support it, but the center owns it. For example, staff training is recorded in Katriviya and carried out by the center. Instructors can read the full assessment under Requirements after signing in.

Why should everyday center tasks take so much time?

That question started Katriviya. We’ve seen how much goes into running a learning center — not just teaching students, but handling everything happening around them.

We’re building practical software that’s easy to use during busy class hours and affordable for centers of different sizes. We’re still listening, learning and improving.
